Internal Paracites

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It usually comes in paste form. It won't take much more than about 4 drops worth for the first dose. I want to say it was like 50mg/kg of animal body weight.

Have u ever herd of garlic guard? A vet is telling me to use this. Panache is a vet medication, cant get it over the counter.

I like PraziPro for internal Parasites. I have dosed as much as Tank Volume for 5 days straight followed by a 50% water change. I am having an issue with a specific tankmate that I have been giving a Prazi-bath and I dont think its Parasites, I am now leaning on my water change % might be stressing him out (for those who know what is going on).

I treat all & any fish I get with PraziPro for a minimum of 2 weeks (if captive b.) and min 3 weeks if wild c.
When I do it, I use my 70gl corner tank and drop the water level under the output of my Rena so it creates bubbles and dose the tank volume.
Just thought id share what I use :D

Also, I think its the keeper that makes the fish stubborn by givin in every time.
Try to soak whatever food you want to feed with some bloodworms (or whatever your feeding now) and add a small amount of tank water in a cup and let it sit in the fridge for a few hours. Feed the ray the shrimp and take it out after an hour or 2.
I would do this everytime before feeding what the ray eats on the daily.
It might take time but he/she will give in :D

Try metronidazol. If she eats that's very good because you can use with blood worms and the treat goes directly to the intestine versus difusion from tank water.
Good luck !

Right now she is stuck on raw shrimp so if I can use it with that I will. I'll look that stuff up tho thanks!

prazi, metro, panacur each treat different parasites.
so...
which one are you treating for?
IDBT?

Good Question...:headbang2

Why not post what each one is best used for?

The LFS owner highly reccomended garlic elixer, so im treating with this for now since its the only thing locally is used to soak in the food. I will be ordering sum panacur off the internet in the meantime

Sorry to butt in on ur post but, If anyone can answer this guys question on whats the best internal parasite treatment out there, you'd be answering it for me too.

Sorry bro but youve been Hijacking the OP's thread ever since this post. Post your thread or do a little "Search Engine" now and then.

I speak for myself but I was responding to the OP. Im going to say thats the rule of thumb on MFK and yes people jump in on threads with their problems but not answer every Reply as if its their Thread... know what I mean?:D

Its not a Flame but a Heads up for future;)
