have you thought of trying a severum with your o?

btw good looking oscar

Thanks Cris, he's turned out better than I had hoped.

Haven't thought of a severum. For some reason I didn't think that would work. Any success with that combo?

Stay away from any breeding cichlids. Even convicts will F up your Oscar.

JD's and Oscars typically do well together.

Or you could try an oddball such as a bichir or something.

I would try a bichir, good sized one though. I think a sev or any other large cichlid would be a "no" at this point as your O has claimed the entire tank. You might be able to do a bigger cat or something more surface oriented like a pinktail chalceus...I can't really think of a cat that's big enough to hold its own but not too big for the tank though.

your oscar is alot like mine, he's the boss of the tank and wont let anyone new in there, as for more fish...try some catfish. look at my pictures/video and check out my Synodontis Eupterus or "Lace" Catfish. you could easily do two in that tank, as did i in my 90g. lemme know what you think!!

In a 90 gallon, you could do a JD. If you get a breeding pair of cons they will stand their ground and the fry could be his food. A 90 gallon is certainly large enough for another fish or two with an Oscar.
:iagree:

I'd go with the JD, and a strawberry pot or something he can hide in and escape from

I used to keep an O with a JD in a 75, they both matured to full size (12" for O, and over 8" for JD), and got along great. Plus, not too many fish can compare with the looks of a mature male JD.
