Introduction + My 29 gallon native Virginia tank

I'll just add that mudminnows are every bit the mini monsters that leaf fish, small ctenopoma, charax, etc are so they are every bit relevant to this website. Even if he were keeping something like pygmy sunfish or swampfish, I'd much rather see a thread about those than another thread about feeding bluegills or something similarly redundant.
 
I like the tank. Would look nice with a few adjustments (more plants), and moving/adding wood/rocks etc. BTW I don't agree with Dionysis post. This tank is perfect for this section and definitely suitable for MFK as a whole. I don't keep any monster sized fish or tanks at the moment, but the love and interest I have towards fish and plants is monster-sized.
 
BTW I got duckweed, frogbit, sago pondweed, dwarf sag, anubias nana, java fern, water hyacinth and some anacharis I could send your way if you need some. Just pay shipping and also make sure it is legal in your state. If you have some pennywort to spare that would be cool.

I agree the bobber and the broken bottle actually make for a more "natural" setting.
 
It's a great looking tank indeed. What i said came across wrong, and apologize for that. Honestly, never seen there was a native fish forum on this site, thought that was on aquarium central, why I recommended posting there so would get more feedback. Anyways, great tank and fish...been wanting to start keeping native fish for awhile, but been told it's illegal to keep native fish in my area without a permit tho. This sound rite?
