I am in awe. Just off the top of my head, what does your electric bill run you? haha

It depends how much I use the sand filters. The most so far is $1,200 a month for eleltricity and another $1,200 a month for heat. When winters are mild and I keep most of my tanks in the 70-73 degree range and only use the filters a couple of days a week if I'm lucky I can knock $400 to $500 off each of them. I lose weight in the winters because I can't afford to .................eat :(

Have you ever gone swimming in the tank for fun? You pay the cost of it by charging people to snorkel in it!

Actually I have had 3 people swim in the tank. Once to catch a tarpin that had died and the other 2 times to catch a large female stingray that was being abused (almost killed) by her mate.

Most people want to swim in my 50k+ (the waters 3 feet deeper)

Hey maybe your idea for making money is a good idea. The electricity/heat is a killer this year. :naughty:

Hi there,
I am a new guy here from Malta. Geez, your setups are huge and I thought that my sixteen 600 gal tanks were big.

Great to have you join MFK. I would really like to see pics of your tanks. Are they glass or acrylic? What monster fish do you keep?

Where did you get the glass for this tank ?

I just priced the glass from local suppliers and bought from the shop that gave me the best deal. A friend had recommended them.
