I got a 14" ID with the 150g plywood tank he was raised in about a year ago for the school that I teach at. He's a very picky eater and only eats massivore pellets when he feels like it (2 or 3 times a week). He hasn't grown any in the past year, either. I'm not sure what to do to get him to eat better, I've tried shrimp, krill and bloodworms and he never touched it. I do 10% water changes each week. Perhaps more tankmates will help. It seems like some are good eaters and others are not.

Try green peas, mine gobbles down about 30-50 pcs whenever he eats. I hand feed it too.

I couple months ago I got 3 ID sharks in my 60g, all very small <1"

Today, I have 2 sharks. One is some super mutant, it has eaten 8+ spotted barbs, 10+ big and small goldfish, 1 seravin (sp?), and the smallest shark. He/she is around 5", about 3 times as big as it's friend it ate.

Other then other fish, the only then they really like is blood worms or algae wafers.

The medium sized shark has recently started to become a mutant, it is eating algae wafers in one bite and taking down goldfish. This one is doubled in size to about 3" in a week or so.

Well, my new ID cats (sharks) for me, they love bloodworms, as well as a variety of flakes :)

They can get big, but no one gives them the space, a 1000g will be needed to achieve this size.

HEY! That's MY video! :) You'd be surprised, these IDs are actually rescues and they grew up in severely under sized habitats. Well, they do grow big I guess even in less than ideal conditions but of course need space to thrive.

My kiddies went from a 55 to 150 to 180 and now to a 270. In the 55 they grew the most in size. Iv had them for I dunno 3ish years and the biggest one is maybe 7-8" while the other is 4-5".

In the 55 they about tripled there size in 6 months, seems the more water they got the slower they grew.

Kinda see em in the ol 55gallon here

And here is from I think within the last week or so in the 270 gallon next to a 13"comet

They eat, they just are NOT aggressive eaters and like iv said before, afriad of other fish being near them during feeding time.

^ a long long long time!!! My ID's are growing quick... but I've got a pond waiting for them...
