Yes, but neon tetras are schooling fish so you find 1 you find 10,000 LOL. Datnoids on the other hand are solo predators. In my opinion they CANNOT have been wild caught alone. If you think about it, datnoids are born around the 5mm mark (1/2 a cm) at my lfs most were .5cm - 2cm. Id estimate them to be around 1 month old prolly less tho. if they had 50 of these lil buggers at my lfs just imagine across the nation... now multiply that by a factor of 10,000 (the entire planet)
There's your estimate!!! Impossible... unless they got a batch 1,000,000 eggs!! Still unlikely so the most plausible cause is they bred some at those commercial pond farms... its possible... RIGHT??!
