is a 90gal big enough ?

IMO you could keep up to a 16" jardini in that 90g tank. My opinion is that the minimum tank size for any arowana is tank length is at least 3 times the aro's length and a tank width at least equal to the aro's length.

you will need 210g+ for a full grown one and plan on not having tank mates someone dropped one off at the fish store i go to and it was a monster if i hat to guess it was close to 28'' the owner told me that it ate a 12" oscar

You obviously misunderstood him. It probably just killed the 12" oscar. My 4 large arowana could probably eat a 12" oscar once it was cut up into several bite size pieces.

maybe your right i didnt see him eat it but from the size of that thing i beleaved him thank you for not being a A-hole about it

I wouldn't recommend keeping him in there after he reaches 12-14 inches. Can you do more? sure, but it will start to stunt the aros growth. Also as the fish gets bigger you should start to up your water changes.
