Is Betty a Boy or Girl?

You do run the risk of them not taking prepared. I feed freshly frozen live foods. Every spring we go catch smelts. My largest ornate will swallow a full grown one whole. I just pop them in the freezer on sheets of wax paper. Once they're frozen they go into a freezer bag. The nice thing with these is they still have all the guts, eggs, organs etc in them. So it's a pretty complete food. You can do this with feeders from the store as well, if you don't have access to a fish like the smelt.
 
i think it could turn out to be a boy, but hard to say for sure sure at this point. i say wait till it gets bigger.

I think she does eat the pellets.. I will try that with the frozen feeders (guppies/platys no goldfish)
I also want to get some earthworms too, she might like those.

When I get my freezer fixed I am going to get some shrimp/talapia (I like it too lol) but as of right now I might go get some more feeder fish and keep putting in the shrimp pellets so she can eat them if she chooses, I think she does because they are gone the next morning.

I got her from a place in Phoenix called The Ocean Floor.

nice I have been to the ocean floor I like that massive red tail cat in the tank when you walk in, Did they have more polys as I have been on the lookout for a few months it would be nice to get some locally instead of paying so much for shipping
 
Yea he is still HUGE lol
They have a whole tank in the back with at least 20 of the 5-6in ones.
They are all nice and healthy.
But they are like 60 bucks unless they are on sale, I got mine for 40.
Get on the website and subscribe to the email thing and they send sales ads all the time. They might work a deal with you if they are back to full price, I was trying to get two for one or something but they were already on sale so he couldnt.
