Is Fatherfish trying to form a cult lol

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
We're not a bad bunch on here, even jjohnwm jjohnwm !!! Lol.

Whaddaya mean, "even"?

That should read "especially"...

I never added my age to this site so where you get i am 35 is beyond me. I started keeping tanks in december 84, i was 21 at the time. You do the math. I would have had to have had my daughter when i was 11 to be that young hahaha
It really seems you just want something to argue about at this point.

You say you have these studies but have yet to show any. I think you heard something from someone and didnt do any research further into the issue. Also as far as i know ff doesnt say anything about hormones. It was something i found on my own researching fish farming before i set up my tilapia tanks in the garden outside. There are no studies that show that fish release growth inhibiting hormones. Rather that certain fish accumulate them in their bodies in higher concentration and that being misquoted is how this myth started in the fishkeeping hobby.

Below 50 ppm is and has been considered safe nitrate levels in a tank for as long as i can remember.
Also i think you are confusing me saying my tanks never top 25 ppm with me saying that they are constantly at 25ppm.

And im not saying you are wrong about how you keep your fish. I am saying you are wrong about ff and the naturalistic method he and many others enjoy.
And if you take offense to me saying its childish to call someone a chomo when they arent or to judge something while admittedly not learning what it actually is is goofy, thats on you. Maybe you should reflect on that.

P.s.
I messaged the "contact us" about changing my date of birth so you wont be so confused.
It’s childish not to get that I didn’t call FF a chomo, I said that creepy cartoon gave me chomo vibes. But you can’t deny FF sounds a lot like Herbert the Pervert

Mbuna cichlid do fine with angels and parrots. Why wouldnt they?

You must be joking.

Of alllll the comments you've made in the pages and pages of this thread, this brief statement tells me everything I need to know, to know that you have no idea what you're talking about.

That is a big jump though, SinisterKisses@. I've seen plenty of Blood Parrot and Mbuna tank setups that work completely fine, it just depends on the fish Now Angels and mbunas, yeah, that is a disaster. But the parrots and mbunas I've seen work multiple times (though to be fair, all of these setups were GIANT tanks (like a few hundred gallons each).

I missed where this guy said that, not that he had any credibility, but any chance of credibility just got flushed down the toilet.

I think I’m gonna stop doing water changes and I’m gonna remove the toilets from my house and just use the aquariums. I’ll get those nitrates up and save on water. It’s a win-win

SURVIVING and THRIVING are two very different things. Working "completely fine" in this case just translates to "haven't killed each other". There's a lot more to responsible fish keeping than simply not killing fish.

Completely fine in the cases I mentioned above meant, "Big blood parrot bosses" and "a bunch of Mbuna underdogs." lol I think they were thriving, rather than surviving. In all cases I've seen the pairing, they blood parrots were BIG bosses with a bunch of medium to small yellow labs among more "peacefully aggressive" species of mbuna.

It’s not all about compatibility, it’s about care requirements and diet. I don’t know much about BPs since I hate them, but I really doubt their care and diet are similar to mbuna
