Is fishkeeping dangerous? may sound stupid but...

I am just wondering.. is having 3+ fish tanks in the room i sleep in bad in anyway? Is it harmful to humans?
this may sound really stupid.. but no such thing as a stupid question if you dont know the answer to it :naughty:

yep, it has been proven in california.
certain fish increase this risk.
Fish such as: discus, bolivian rams, exodons, and many others including the ones that live in and out of water...

i think the only danger is if the tanks bust and shards of glass lodge into your jugular or you drown from the amount of water that floods your room if all the tanks bust... or if you have a really mean fish...it might come out and bite you while you are sleeping.
 
Yes, I often find myself lying next to one of my tanks with a needle in my arm attached to airline tubing going into my tank. I straightline my fish tanks. That's just how I roll.

large fish are also know to attack small dogs. my pomeranian was attacked by my breeding pair of severums because he got too close to the tank.

Mold can kill you! Just keep your fish room humidity low.
