Is gravel safe for Midas?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I understand, it does make a person feel uneasy on the first few set ups using large bouders. Now I worry more about other things, like my midas splashing water out of the tank & on to the floor when he sees me bringing food. lol

Not my tank, but a pic of a mbuna set up that caught my eye many years ago.

Exactly that!

It's my first time ever and I want a safety net! I was saying to the Mrs, next time - no eggcrate!

Anyway, that photo just makes mine look silly now, but oh well, we all gotta start somewhere, right?

I would like to find more height in my scape, but I may add wood for that at a later date. For now, the main aim is to keep it low maintenance and that includes low risk. In it's previous incarnation, this tank was a failed high tech planted tank and I'm going in the polar opposite direction. Some sand / some rocks / one fish. In theory - simple!
