Thanks. Another option for you is to use polycarbonate. I beleive it's essentially good acrylic and good quality. It tends not to warp/bend as other tyoes if acrylic.

You'll see in the pictures, I had them cut 2" holes across my glass lids. You could easily do that with acrylic. Thus way, you dont need to mess with lifting during feeding.
Every fish is going to be diffirent, and if/when you feed shrimp just train and hold it in your hand. This will help your silver get use to you too.
My lei gets excited now and then, in fact I think it ran into the walls and wood and scratched his eye a bit. Im trying to help him heal with heat up and salt. Sigh...
