fin rot is best cured/prevented with good water and maybe raised temps and salt. no meds required...

you should never change 100% of the water. if you do so, you will remove your beneficial bacteria. i dont have the time to explain in detail why this is bad, but trust me...it's not a good idea.

xander is a pro a water changes...he can give you some advice.

how many % of the water should i remove everytime i change water?

your highness xander how do i keep my water clear besides of using the filter?

i try to do about 40%-50% twice a week. this is a 100% water change per week, but never do 100% at one time.
 
I'm about the same, I do a wc every 3 days, about 30%...keeps them growing, colorful and active....woooO!
