Is it bad to do a watter change 2 days ina row?

o sweet yay now i can clean the tank better i was scared i would get sick fromt he fish watter and stuff. once i get the hand of cleaing takeing care of em and stuff yes im geting a 55 =D
idk whats going in it but i want something big lol...
also how do i know if i need a new fillter[the white thing in it]
 
reg tap water will work?
and just few more things sory for all the qestions =-X
im a noob at this and hopefully i can help some one else one day

and how can i make the tap wateri put it my tank cleaner? i got stress coat
 
Don't use tap water. Buy a dechlorinator like the one API makes, will last you a year compared to others. Can't really put anything big in a 55. Largest fish I would put in there would be one that does not grow over 10".
 
Yeah you can use tap water but make sure you add water conditioner to the new water. i use Nov Aqua water conditioner.
