What your Aro is doing is perfectly normal
I have found that behaviour in Aros that eventually develop a 'cheeky' character as well as Aros that are full nonsense and picky eaters
They get hungry but because they picky eaters they dont eat enough to satisfy their hunger and then put up this dance against the glass because they are angry that they not getting fed what they want
My Red has always been a good eater but, like any Aro sometimes goes trough 'moods' fo three or four days where she wants treats instead of food
If I dont give in and spoil her, she sits and does that in front of the tank
She could also be relating the lights going on, to food
