Is it okay to eat after a run? I go to the gym 6 days a week and lose about 700+ calories every time i go.

If it is okay what should I eat after a run?

Is it okay to eat a small meal?

Not a health pro, but I've always enjoyed a banana or something protein-rich after a good sweat.

Need to go grocery shopping then! I feel like eating right now. I need to get like more fruits to eat when I am feeling hungry.

its my understanding that you should eat small meals threw out the day so sure, just dont fast while you work out...then over eat to make up for it.

Always protein for me after a any kind of activity. I'm active enough and at the point where id like to be physically that ill eat almost anything after a workout.

To the OP, why are you running? To cut weight, to build cardio, to tone, to train for an event or just to stay active? What your goal is will determine a lot as to what you should eat after running.

Cut some weight, stay active, and build cardio. I am doing this so I can prepare myself to become firefighter.

I've always found frozen fruit, protein powder and water a great recovery drink. Also I've heard 1 beer after a run works wonders for some. I use IQF berries for mine if the instructor has had a bad day I'll toss in a banana to avoid crying the next morning.

some good answers already

do you eat before your workouts? and how long before your workouts do you eat?

just wondering but do you do strength and conditioning also? my brother who is a firefighter does strength and conditioning to stay strong also. running will only give you a certain kind of cardio, but it's also a good idea to work on the strength and conditioning of your muscles that go into that line of work

just my two cents based on what i see from my bro
