Is it okay to eat after a run?

this may not be 100% so may need double checking.. as far as I can remember eating after a workout doesn't mean anything. your body needs a constant supply of protein while your muscles are rebuilding, and your body will only use as much as it needs. the idea is while your muscles hurt and feel stiff (DOMS - delayed onset muscular soreness) they're rebuilding themselves, and you should be feeding your muscles protein then. it's important to knwo that while you have doms you shouldn't work it out or you're just impeding the regrowth. so you work your biceps out today tommorrow you do something else until your biceps are healed, for example. read about the zig zag diet it's got alot of interesting info about how to feed your body when your body needs it.
