Is it possible? 775 hp corvette?

with only 775hp it doesn't need a large spoiler. not many cars do and just come with them for looks, no mater how bad that may be. sounds like someone with some $$ but no taste. 775hp from a LS6 isnt very hard, if it even is still the LS6 block. heads, cam, and supercharger or nitrous would get that easily.

260mph is most likely not gonna happen. they have the standing mile in Texas where some supped up cars (TT gallardo with 1200hp) that top out at 230mph. maybe 260kph

the only way he is spinning 12000rpm(assuming 1200rpm is a typo) is with a solid roller motor setup

You can't tell how fast a car will go based on just HP. The CCX has barely 800 hp, yet can do 259 mph.



That being said, I HIGHLY doubt that vette can do 260. 220? Yes.

totaly agree. 12000rpm i would say is almost unatainable, certianly from the LS6.
Also giving a car a large spoiler increases the C of D and therefore reduces top speed, making insane top end speeds even less likely.

No i agree but it is largely power, but i think aerodynamics is probably the most important for top speed runs. A combintation of the two is certainly a winning formula:D
 
The guy MAY have done some work to his car, but whether 260 @ 1200 or 260 @ 12000 - He's "exaggerating", to be nice. 775 is absolutely attainable in even an old school SBC, but 99.9% of the guys who A) have a ZO6, and B) want 775Hp from said ZO6 , do NOT give 2 Sh*ts about gold spokes. He probably does have a killer ride, I would kill someone to have a ZO6, but sometimes guys need to embellish to feel superior. "Anyone can have the NORMAL ZO6, but mine has...Blah Blah Blah....Ya know what I mean? Take everything with a grain of salt - give credit where deserved -and don't disrespect the true accomplishments.

The spokes where something i as a dumb amateur threw in he didnt bring it up. The guy is genuine, i may not have heard him right about the 260 mph but seriously his car was like no other corvette i have ever seen. True the colors may not have matched but still... The corvette was one of a small number of cars built especially for high performance... pics will come as soon as possible.

Wow the video is insane!!! in page 3 there is a pic of a car but in the background there is an iawesome viper i still cant help it... i love vipers so much!!
I am tempted to revive the thread....
