i know and i apreciate the help and everything its just kinda like... well why jump to the conclusion that i am going to kill my ray

well point were brought up you need to consider.... 1 week in on a new tank in start of cycle will kill your ray... now puffer is a bad idea and you saw what happened to your pleco ... answer these questions and i may have a nice solution... what are you filtering you 55with??? do you have gravel in the 55 or sand?(think from your vid i saw gravel)... your 300 able to have your old HOB or cannister hooked to it???

haha, yeh like Nic is sayin jumpstart your cycle if you can..

But I would go ahead and buy some PraziPro and treat him while in the 55 just to be safe.. Good luck!

didnt even think of that yea i would prazi in the small tank treating large tanks sucks

yeah there is gravel in the small one and sand in the big one, there is a bio wheel on the small one i didnt even think of taking that i have just been taking the water and putting in there, i have a w/d im using in that one. and ill look into the praziPro, what are signs of having the bacteria problem?

here is what I have done in the past.... fill new tank with old tank add fish and filter along with substrate add one or 2 packs biospira and your good to go....

donno what ur trying to say? lol also i was going to wait a week put some rosyreds in then wait a couple days and put the ray in, I have seen vids of puffers alot bigger then my lil 1" green spotted in with motoros and honestly.... if I could show you how tame that lil puffer is there wouldnt be a problem and i know about ammonia spikes in a 55 which is why i do 25% water changes a day... Once again... back to the question, what are symptoms of having parasites? or is it just something you automaticly treat right away no matter what?

so you have got a 1inch puffer in with a ray and you dont think the ray is going to eat the puffer

got any links to the video i know many people who have tryed puffers with rays it didnt work we would all like to keep a big mbu with our rays :D

is the puffer ment to be brackish water ?

right now my ray is only 6-7" and yes, the puffer will need to be in brackish water, as it grows, i read up on them and it said they are fine in freshwater for the first 6 months to a year then they will need to slowly be put into brackish water
