i am trying but he wont take it. its easier said than done. that is why i seek help from you guys like methods, technics and stuff

I do not think there is any more to tell you... It is a gator.. if it is not taking pellets then you are offering them wrong or not trying hard enough. These animals are garbage disposals they eat everything eventually.

Only thing that can be said is just keep offering them and as usual be patient and persistent...

will do man.. thanks. one last question, do you know long they will last without eating?

dw they will never starve to death..just keep trying..with such a big gar like ures it cud take months (im talking like over 2-3 months sumtimes)...but if ure gar is greedy like mine...it shud be no time at all...they love hikari food sticks and find it easy to eat BUT it will make u broke...(since they can eat a whole bag in a day). teach them to eat large round pellets like hikari economy...or even hikari gold if u feel richer...they might find it hard at first but adapt quickly...

atleast a month.

chiming in a bit late but i once had a 2' gator that would eat pellets - actually meant for koi. tiny [comparatively] pellets too - four mm dia spheres. no training whatsoever. he'd also hit shrimp or any seafood as soon as it hit the water... they really are garbage disposals.
