I wanted to know if it was true that Brazil was taking off the band from the leopoldi Ray? Im sure if its true, that means no more hefty price tag on these bad boys

Its prolly BS. but who knows. they have cut them off before and started up again.. Time will tell.. THe big problem is way to many people are looking into it. I would snag up all the captive breed ones you can. As its a much better ray. Talk to Mike at H20.. he has some.. And his prices are pretty good.

Only time will tell.... just wait till Jan..... it really doesn't affect me much their restricted in CA :irked::irked::irked:

If it is true it's definately a good thing for hobbists, bad for those that paid top dollar for these. I remember when these were only 4bills 5bills max... Lets see how this turns out.... GL

I heard something similar last week and emailed the IBAMA (Henrique Pereira). I just got an email back of a forward to the person who handles this for the IBAMA (the director). I'll let you know what I hear.

they'll always have hefty price tags. legal or not

This was just a rumor that I heard too, just wanted to know if anyone has heard it? Plus im in a state that cant have them anyways :(
It was more for you guys not me

as David said, IF the ban on Leopoldi and P14 gets lifted, it will only allow very small numbers to be exported, and you BETTER believe that almost all will go to highest bidders in Asia, we simply cannot compete with the prices they will pay for juvenile rays, its sad but true!
