There value will be halved, right away

Whats your reasoning for this? If black rays are even allowed out like DaveW stated it will be in a very limited quota. And I would be surpirsed if any even made it to the US, what the asian market is willing to pay is just insane there is no reason for them to sell us cheap black rays when other markets are willing to pay alot more them us.

I really doubt they would still sell for a grand or so.... Back then, when rays were legally exported; these only went for 3-4bills even less, if they become legal to export why would the cost not drop dramatically?? Who's to say what the limitations would be.... I mean I would assume there would be a quota, but come on we really don't know what it would be...

It suck because I know a few have invested a great amount of $$$$ to attain these rays and it would really suck if the prices do drop; but again time will tell. Let's just all wait and see......

The price is never going to be the same as it was 3 years ago. Brazil is only going to allow export to make money they already know that these fish are worth alot of money why would they sell them for the same price as 3-4 years ago? Your correct only time will tell. But like we all said when rays are selling for 10,000 plus over seas even if there cut in half or more they are still willing to pay alot more then me for these rays.

I'm not arguing with you Mike, it's just that before the cost was really high because everybody wanted them because of the fact that they were no longer attainable from the country of origin; You know how that goes if it's illegal or hard to get then people would be willing to spend the $$$$$; but considering that this is no longer the case wouldn't you think that the cost would drop.

I mean just like other fish that come with an extremely high price tag, these are fishes that are illegal or endangered right... I just don't see it.

I do agree that the price would not be the same but it will not be as extreme.

Simple, every exporter in Brazil will have them. They want them sold, fast, so they can get more. They will not sell for $1,000, the Importers will not pay, period. IMO, they will be $200-$400 out of Brazil. If they put leaniant quotas, , $200 out of brazil. Of course, they just might never be allowed out:(

You could argue either way, high prices low prices, only time will tell.....patience

HONESTLY I JUST WISH RAYS ARE NOT RESTRICTED IN CALI:irked::irked::irked::irked:
