It is true you really dont have anything positive to say about anything in this forum..... Stick to the discusion.....

seriously if they do get released this is why we won't get any cause everybody wants to pay practically nothing for them....asia is willing to pay anything....so america can kiss any chance of seeing them good buy cause nobody is willing to pay for them... you don't think the exporters in brazil know what the captives are being sold for.... you people really think they are gonna be 500 bucks again seriously....... asia and europe will snag any wild rays long before we even know about there release and by then the quota will be reached

I am sure the exporters in BRazil is aware of the high prices in the international market. Why sell cheap when they can fetch premium prices. Any exports will likely to be on a stringent quota.

Of course, we can always dream.

Always can dream, which is why this topic comes up once a week! Trust me guys, I want leos too, but at a certain point you guys have to be practical. You guys can believe what you want, and hold your breath till January or February, till 09 for that matter... I still think nothing changes!
And bring in leos for 200 is absurd, even if you think someone will prove a point and send them to you only, how often will they loose money sending you rays for 200 bucks? As David said, much of this discussion does not make Economic sense! but hey, if dreaming is all you want to do, DREAM ON!!!
You either forget the fact or refuse to acknowledge that people are paying 20,000 euros for mature amazing looking P14s. There is a huge gap between what people are actually paying and what you guys dream of them being for sale, 200 bucks???

ALLS WE ARE SAYING IS THAT THE PRICE FOR THESE RAYS WENT UP WHEN THE BAN WENT INTO EFFECT........ THUS EVERYBODY HAS BEEN IN A FREAK-OUT TRYING TO GET THESE RAYS BECAUSE OF THE POSSIBLE MONEY THAT CAN BE MADE BREEDING THEM.....

IF THIS WENT AWAY AND THEY WERE AVAILABLE FROM BRAZIL AGAIN..... THEN MAYBE EVERYBODY WOULD STOP FREAKING OUT.... THE PRICE COULD ONLY GO DOWN...., NOT UP, IF THE BAN IS LIFTED....

THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE WEAK US DOLLAR AND THE FACT THAT WE DONT KNOW IF THE BAN WILL BE LIFTED..... ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE DONE IT IN THE PAST......

LET ME ASK THIS: WHY WERE LEO'S GOING FOR 250-400 BEFORE THE BAN..., MAYBE BACK IN 04'-05'??? JUST A QUESTION....... WAS THERE REALLY THAT MANY LEOS ON THE MARKET THEN????

Also......, are these black rays really not nearly as common as other rays in brazil.....??

I thought all of these different black rays came from different tributaries of the amazon........ how can there be so little of these in such a large river system???

its not like they are located throughout the amazon..., but just in very low numbers proportionally to other rays.... It seems like their should be a decent amount of these in the wild....

dream dream dream is all that can be done cause 300$ black rays are never gonna be arround again...
