A EBJD looks "unnatural" because of its environment, SW fish in question are from incredibly colorful coral reefs where the amount of color is perfectly natural and looks that way IMO.

I'm pretty sure an EBJD would get picked off in the wild real quick.

What about Malavi cichlids, there are no colorful reefs there to make them look natural.

I dont keep those either.
