Since there aren't any cracks, there is no such thing as a problem that can't be overcome. Get it and we'll figure out what needs to be done. You already have at least three good minds working on this.

Somebody check my math, but I just came up with the tank weighing
1600 lb. :WHOA:

That's going on glass weighing 158 lb/ft^3

Bottom panel
12' x 22"/12" x 1"/12" = 11/3 ft^3

Front and back (neglecting the corners)
12' x 3' x 1"/12" = 3 ft^3

Sides
3' x 22"/12" x 1"/12" = 11/24 ft^3

for a total of 81/8 or 10.125 ft^3 of glass.

10.125 ft^3 x 158 lb/ft^3 = 1599.75 lb

Gooodddddd lawwwwwwwddddddddddddddddddddd that is an awesome tank.

Let me know who doesn't get it, I will get it, fix it, and flip it. I don't have space for it in the house, but I could put it in the garage:naughty:

I'll pm the OP

Did anyone get this tank? I'll drive down for $250.

maaaan... 250... my water bill would be like three times that much!
but it'll be worth it... =(
im like 6 and a half hours away!
man oh man... so tempted!!

why is he even getting rid of it for so cheap? a tank this size would easily run 3-5 thousand dollars. is just bc the seal is broken?

Joey,

If I am not mistaken you had problem before keeping up with basic requirement like water changes on your 225 ? how do you think 410 is going to do ?

410 is going to put out more humidity in your house, your parents will propably be upset about it.

410 is going to cost more to heat as well...I know you're on a fix income, will your parent be okay with it ?

Again, even if you do 25% water changes per week, it's 100 gallons of freshwater....if you can't commit to your 225 maintenance, then 410 will be harder for you.

Just my opinion..
