That's totally true, just don't give up you don't wanna be like all the people who hate getting up everyday to go to work. Life's too good to waste doing something you hate everyday. Keep at it you will eventually figure something out that works. Sorry if that's a bit cliché but that's how I go about it.

It sucks not liking your job. My job is decent in pay and I can work overtime almost any week I want.

But....I have to work 10 hour shifts at 5 am (get off at 3:30pm), they can mandate overtime any week they want up to 65 hours. I have to get a certain production number or you lose your job. I don't see how these people are still here after 10 years. My job before this was 4 am. I'm all for working early, but this stuff sucks. It's a job and pays bills, but I'm going back to school in the fall. Screw this crap. At least I will like my job after school.

Maybe talk to the potential employer and see if you can also work there part time and hopefully you get experience, and some $$ to help offset the tuition?

That's an awesome idea, but with a $1000 mortgage, I can't afford to only have a part time job unfortunately, and picking up a part time job on top of my full time job would F me on taxes.

Ouch, feel your pain; forget the taxes, the loss of sleep would already be an issue.

thought you were going to be just a full time student. I guess all I can say is do your research, and think things through, and Best of Luck to you.

I work 7-430. So I would be a full time student with my course.

good luck on it if u are aiming for it but if i were u. i would go out and get some information about the career before you give it a shot.

I'm transferring to OSU for one of their fish-involved programs, of which they have a few. They have marine biology, an environmental science with am emphasis on fish, and the fisheries program. There's also the option for zoology.
I want to focus on studying freshwater fish environment and behavior, so I will likely go for the environmental studies degree. I intend on going all the way to phd though.
I suggest you contact the counselors there for specific questions on their program. They are one of the top schools in the country for this area of study, and are still pretty affordable and relatively easy to get in to since it's a state school.
If you move to Oregon and take no more than 8 units a quarter at a community college for a year, you will become a "resident," which will reduce tuition costs considerably. This is what I'm doing right now... I'll be a resident in June. :)
