Is my tank overstocked?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Brother you are just fine, add those SD's. Also something for the top, some hujetas or chalceus, something. In the end you may have to up your w/c schedule if the nitrates get high (as the bichirs grow), but otherwise IMO you have plenty of space.

Did I read "dump the bichirs"? Crazy talk!

No, that would be stupid, bichirs are the most awesome fish you can keep in this hobby. ;)

Get something with some more color. Your tank sounds kind of drab maybe a couple geos?

His Amphilophus Alfari has plenty of color. Geo's are awesome too, but it's his tank, let him stock it how he pleases.

Jakob, just add an ac110, and you can put whatever you want in there.

Just saying man..I keep cool fish, but also like color. Not everyone is into that I guess. Silver dollar get a little large and swim a lot, your polys might not cruise as much if you get them.

The Alfari has very good colour, also the Lap and the Polli.
I have other tanks that are more colourful, this is the monster tank.

I have a Jardini in a growout, i think it will do for top fish. I never test my water, i trust my water, 50% w/c twice a week is my schedule.

True, the Alfari has a nice colour, i dont wanna add more cichlids, messes up the alfaris colour and he gets so damn aggressive.
AC110 is $1000 in Iceland, maybe a Rena XP4.
