Is my vet bsing me?

Its kind of funny that you say that. i had asked her if there was a food she would recommend for my dog, but told me she didnt really have a recommendation. I thought that was kind of odd and now that i think about it, its making me want to try a new vet even more

In my experience all vets push hills. Which is a grain based dog food. It's not everything the packaging and commercials say it is. ****, if my vet stopped trying to recommend a dog food Id be happier lol. I only say get a second opinion because you're already spending all the money anyways.

Lots of issues with aging dogs. I dont recall seeing what kind, but some are prone to have bladder stones and such. If the dog cannot regularly or efficiently empty its bladder it will be prone to infections. Then you have the China factor. Many of the treats, bones, etc were contaminated with melamine and other nasty chemicals to mask the fact that they didnt actually contain the real advertised protein. US companies were selling this and many dogs incurred kidney damage or died from it. It has occurred atleast 3 times I know of in the life of your dog and the last time was even earlier tbis year. I hate to say it. But at 13 you should adopt another pup to be around when this one is gone.

I am scared that this has something to do with his kidneys. Do you know what dog food had that stuff?
Im not ready for another dog financially, im happy with my old man
