I was just wondering because the Lapradei and P. Bichir Bichir both seem to share similar markings and I remember reading somewhere that the scientific name of the Laparadei bichir is P. bichir Lapradei.

bichir bichir=upperjaw
lapradei=lower jaw i think LOL

They are very similar species.
Lapradei's do have the scientific name P. Bichir Lapradei, so I believe both lapradei and pbb are supspecies of P. Bichir.
Also, they are both lower jaws.
Hope that helps!

Thanks Delhezi222 :D. I always had a hunch that they might be closely related, thanks for clearing that doubt up.

I agree. Polypterus bichir lapradei is a subspecies of polypterus bichir bcihir. Most people just type down "lap", "lapradei", "p. lapradei" or "polypterus lapradei" to keep it short.

oh any picture of bichir bichir plz?

Same subspecies.
Polypterus Bichir subspecies Lapradei
Polypterus Bichir subspecies Bichir.
aka:
Polypterus Bichir Lapradei
Polypterus Bichir Bichir
