Is Rocky Really A Male

I would also suggest, if you end up getting a pair from the group, remove any other species of cichlids for their own safety, and any Pleco/bottom feeder types, they tend to eat eggs and wrigglers, which can discombobulate the pair bond, also leading to the (usually) females death, and maybe the bottom feeder.

Thank you so much for your help. I just got the 72 gallon Bow Front and It won't be enough of room. I was just thinking if I wanted to put another fish in there a female would be the way to go.
 
I had mine with a Synadonis catfish, Spotted Raphael catfish,Green Phantom pleco, Orange seam pleco.

As you know JDs are not the most active fish out there. Pictus cats are busy body cats so may bother the JD. They like to be in groups as well so six of them buzzing around all day long..... see where I am going with this.

I do see where your going with this. Maybe I will look into a Pleco that doesn't get very big. Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.
 
The plecos I mention top out under 10in range. Both really perdy to boot

Can you see the catfish? Hide all day long come out at night, Spotted Raphael catfish. Don't have any pics of the Synadonis I had. Tho may be hard to find bigger fish to put in with him since he's so big already.

I found a female for Rocky!!! IM VERY lucky he likes her!!! Yay!!! He is shimmering for her. Does that mean he is in the mood??? LMAO!!!
