IMO the examples posted are extreme and exaggerated. My gf and I are consistantly @ the gym 5-6 times a week and I run 2-3 miles each time w/ weight lifting in between w/ a friend. We don't shop super healthy but are definitly on the healthy side. The gym is consistantly packed and my neighborhood sidewalks are booming w/ people jogging and walking their dogs. The parks are always overflowing w/ kids playing almost every type of sport there is. Weakening of the human race is not what I see on a daily basis.
I agree that there are a lot of obese people out there that are always talked about on tv and radio covering overweight percentages but, of course, they never mention the other 70% of people who are aware of what they put in their mouth and enjoy life in moderation all while putting in the work needed to maintain a healthy body.
As far as survival of the fittest. I disagree. Everyone has a right to life. If your child needed a transplant of some sort to live and it was available, I doubt anyone would turn it down. His or her life will not seal the human races fate. Use medication as needed but key word being, "needed".
There was a famous man in history who had the same ideas on perfecting the human race.
Again, just my opinion.
