Is the human race weakening?

yes we are getting weaker as a species natural selection is the basis of evolution and keeping a species healthy without it we will lead to our own demise becuase we will degrade our immune systems to the point where we will need a drug for EVERYTHING then some disease will come around that we cant treat and the joke that has become of the human race will no longer exist


the human immune system is a very good one probably the best of all organisms thats how we've lived this long(coupled with us being social animals and highly intelligent) and as it gets exposed to different pathogens it gets better and better without ever being exposed to different diseases our immune system will degrade to the point where medicine will be our only immune system

belive me i would deny someone a transplant to cure a genetic ailment if that was in my power . you call it sociopathy i call it caring about the greater "good"


as for sterilizing someone. the very basic perpose of life is to mate and mate as many times as possible leaving them alive if they are not capable of mating (or eventualy will be capable of mating) is a waste of food

Mother Nature will take care of us. For every advance in medical science that prolongs life, there is a natural counter, whether it be created by our own stupidity or not. Look at the increased incidence of cancer. Look at the creation and mutations of viruses since the advent of global travel.

We will have destroyed ourselves and our planet long before the sun inevitably implodes and takes our entire galaxy with it.

I have to make a post about one thought which has been mentioned before. That of genetic selection.

I really believe that giving people the choice to abort children simply because seer science(which is what I call proclaiming things prior to them being born) is a really really really bad thing.

I have to relate a story to emphasize this.

There was a woman who's doctor told her that according to the ultrasound images and other things that their baby would be born with a severe birth defect as well as being born downs syndrome. So after much thought between the wife and husband they decided that they would terminate the pregnancy, rather than subject another child to such a life.

Only problem is when the 6 mth or so old fetus was a perfectly formed mini human being.

There is a huge issue with the whole genetic choice concept. And who is to say a person who is weaker does not strengthen a person who is given care of them.

i decided to vote no, if we were becoming weaker our lifespan would be shortening and our population would be shrinking.

we are the fittest we have ever been in a evolutionary sense.

Ok the last stats i saw on our country bein over weight we had more ppl then the 2,3,4 countries. So if we didnt have as many people in general fat skinny whatever we wldnt be 1

the ability to care more for others than themselves, worse yet it is by active choice that people are doing this.

Totally sad and disgusting that possessions have become more important than people. How many elderly are tossed to the side so that their offspring can pursue the so called pursuit of happiness.

If my parents were alive there is no way I would have them living in a home, they raised me so I should care for them when they are older.

i plan on living away from big cities and stuff so if somethin like a war or some disease starts i shld be ok...
