Is the human race weakening

I'd say we are becoming more intelligent and in turn lazier due to our creativity. You can do everything from your couch now, and I worry that eventually this will make us easy prey when the robots we build for labor revolt and dominate us. Maybe we are creating the next race to inherit the earth from us? If we are we should make them all have really stupid faces.

hell no. who ever said you need to care about anyone else. as long as you make it SEEM like you do

which by the way is different that cooperating with someone. Cooperating means theres something in it for you and you both mutualy benefit from it im not going to help someone if im not going to get anything in return its a waste of the energy i work so hard to aquire (walk to the fridge is SOOOOO far lol jks). But of course respect of another person is somewhat of a reward becuase it increases the chance of being able to cooperate with them later (e.g from a caveman perspective "lets go take down that lion together so we can both eat for a week")

that is the basis of empathy. thats really what it comes down to, you want to help someone becuase deep down inside you know eventualy you will get something out of it. Of course "society" teaches us that we help others for no reason at all other than to be nice but tell me where that would've got our ancestors ?

but ive gotten off topic enough and am not contributing to this thread so i will stop unless i have a genuine point to make
 
^ i agree we have been taugth to help other.

If u look bak into ancient times they only helped others because htey wld benefit. Imperialism is a big showing of that. The only reason ppl colonized and "helped" the countries that were behind like africa was to take resources and build a empire. And if it came to a apocalypse an di was alive i wld only help ppl if i got somethin in return i wldnt help ppl because they needed it. For all i knw i cld need help and they wld leave me to die. When it comes to it a life or death matter i doubt half u wld help someone to get nothing in return. Like to save another persons life with u r last can of food. And it may be the last can u find wld u actually do it?
