Dude, it is not only uneducated rednecks having the most children. My wife and I just had baby # 8, and we are most certainly not uneducated rednecks.

Shucks, clem yall mightnd want to use that brod brush to paint them thar pictures with yur wurds :screwy:.
man your having to many kids lol

if each of your descendants reproduces like you do, with in 6 generations you will have over 250,000 descendants.

i can only think your planning to take over the world.

eventually your families christmas and birthday purchases will drive the economy

There is a difference between negative eugenics (culling the bad; aka Hitler) and positive eugenics (rewarding those with beneficial traits that pass them on; IQ, etc).

IN GENERAL, and I don't like to generalize, but intelligent, wealthy (an indicator of heath in the human environment), well educated people tend to wait longer to have children, space their children out more, and produce less offspring than poorer, less educated, less intelligent individuals that could be deemed farther down the "survival" scale.

I'd say for sure we've stepped outside the realm of evolving biologically, and are now more evolving culturally.

In general are we as a species less fit as defined by "survival of the fittest"? Definitely. Common sense has all but disappeared.

My solution? Pull some Jurassic Park **** and introduce velociraptors into the general public. The weak will go fast! (Kidding)

we are actually very fit as its currently defined by science. fitness is the ability to produce offspring the that survive to reproduce.

in developed world nations the survival rate of kids is the highest it has ever been, i imagine in developing nations its either better then before or the same.

we aren't like other animals that need to be physically superior to survive.

No, we are not weakening our race by helping sick kids so they can reproduce new specimens of humans when they get adult.

The fact we are so many humans are an evidence of our species succes.
..and in a way failure by the nature, since we are too many and no longer have any natural enemies (except cancer and such things).

Look at rats, they become fertile and will breed before you can tell if they have passed on any bad genes to coming generations, and must rats counts as a succesful specie.
We should be glad that rats dont have the technology of medicine.:)

EXPERIENCE BY AGING

Experience is an important thing when it comes to scientific and technological breakthroughs that are beneficial for mankind, and if we didn´t had medicine and technology, then great brains like Stephen Hawkings or John Nash maybe not would had survived long enough to think out those great things they did.
And the longer time you spend on this planet the more important things you will learn that you can teach your children, so they can pass on this info to their kids and so on
All aging is beneficial for our specie.

ANOTHER THING
I have worked with physically challenged people all my life, but I was forced back to school now since there are no jobs anymore, there are not born enough kids with handicaps here where i live. Thanks to science.

People of different ethnicities can't be considered separate sub-species because the genetic variation isn't significant enough. It's like a long haired dachsund dog and a short haired one are the same breed. They aren't different sub-species. One just has the gene for longer fur.

Very true about not having enough of a diversity, yet. I'm just curious to see what would happen if we all became geographically isolated. It would take a long time for any significant results to show up, a very long time. I know it's probably not going to happen though.
Bad example. Dogs are considered one species, be it Great Dane or Chihuahua. A better example would be black throat monitors or Apistogramma agassizi.

that doesnt affect peoples arguements. means nothing about the overall population of the earth and the amount of kids that survive. means nothing about the average life span.

but it does mean that those genes are out there. now allergys arnt always passed on but sometimes they are. so now we have an allergy that is truly detrimental.

over all, people tend to agree with me. we rely on machines so much that we are weakening our gene pool and just setting our selves up for a royal screw up(to put it politly) we have all our kids survive which is great. but that also means inferior genes get passed on.
