My house
i got a new tiger oscar and its colors aren't so good. what can i do to improve them?

feed it quality food. i make my food for that reason.

cichlidfourm.com has a good recipe. think they call it the european shrimp mix. basically veggies and shrimp or fish or beef heart. i've just modified it some.

diseases? some swear by it. i prefer to use shrimp and catfish. to each his own.

If you have a red oscar or has markings of red in your oscar, you could feed it carrots and shrimp to enchance its redness. You could also buy some color enchancing foods for flowerhorn.

Yep, just give them quality foods, like New Life Spectrum, Omega, Danichi, etc. and take really good care of them. Just give the oscar a good hygiene and his color should improve.
