Better than who? The people who like watching their fish kill other fish? I don't know if I'm better than them, never met any of them LOL. 
I was just stating that I don't care for it, to each their own. I am a competitive boxer and mixed martial artist, I'm sure a lot of people think theres no need for that and I've had them tell me so but I never asked them if they thought they were better than me. To each their own.

While this discussion is intense, I am proud to say that for the most part it has been civil and good points have been made. Props to MFK! If more controversial threads went like this, we all might learn something. We all have different values and opinions, and it's nice when we can represent them without name calling and childishness.

just a general question to op and those who truly despise fish keepers who feed their pet fish fish. Here's one for ya are you more tolerant of them or peeps who grossly overstock their tank.
I agree, I love a good civil respectful debate! It's sometimes hard to have one online though as you can't tell someones tone of voice etc. I try to just walk on eggshells when discussing anything controversial and put lots of these smiley guys in!

While I despise neither I think that someone who intentionally overstocks a tank with no concern for the well being of the fish is worse than the guy who feeds off other fish to his. What I honestly can't stand though is someone who will pit two large predatory fish just to see which one will come out alive just to throw out the dead body. It's not good for either fish! But, as I said, to each their own. I would never tell anyone how to lead their life as long as it doesn't affect mine negatively. I use to work in animal rescue and I would see cases of pit bulls that were fought. We would put down literally thousands of dogs a year because they were fought and to me fighting fish isn't all that different, it's a waste of life.
