yes there is monster inverts. some of the prawn, and quite a few big crays. What do you consider monster?? 8" enough? Alot get that size. 15" a few get that size. Bigger? They get bigger but they get expensive. I have heard that the largest freshwater cray is sometimes shipped out of Australia, but its expensive. I think in the neighborhood of 200 a pop. But I'v gotten out of crays. I used to hunt the rare ones ALOT, but they get expensive after awhile.

Yea, the cheapest large cray now is the Walkamin strain of the Cherax quads, but that's still a chunk of change. (And they don't look so nice, they aren't bred for coloration anymore, just food.) And you, too? I only have my oddballs left now... I don't want to spend the $ these days, the prices have gotten ridiculous.

Hah, funny thing is that that one is still no where near as big as those can get. We had some show up on Aquabid.com last year, I wanted them so badly but that auction got up into the hundreds quickly and I wouldn't drop that money on an unverified seller. Maybe I should have, heh.

Any luck with the setosus? I've seen them on oddball places like seafood vendors (http://www.aquablueseafoods.com.au/price-list.shtml) or on German aqua supply sites. Not here, though.

No luck on setosus sadly. I havnt seen them at all. I watch often but nothing. You find any let me know. Epic claws on them. Plus they luv to burrow so I got an awesome tank planned if I ever get them. Yeah after I went to get a breeding pair of high quality neon blue cherax destructors and it set me back nearly hundred bucks I stopped. I never ordered them. Just too damn expensive. Ill drop a max of 50 a cray if there is no shipping. The best local close to me for crays including rare stuff closed recently.

In freshwater tasmania has 5-6 pound crayfish. In saltwater mantis and pistols would be monsters. If I could I would Keep giant isopods, they're definate monsters.

These are some badass pics and info about crays. :)

Anyone have info on how to get giant blue prawn? I'm still trying to get my hands on a true one and striking out. :/ Heck... I can't get possession of any prawns here in CT. Getting ridiculous.
