Is this a Black Bullhead or a yellow?

I've had him for a couple years now and had always thought he was a yellow, but now that hes bigger and his colors are dark i thought he might be a black bullhead and the fact that he doesnt have white wiskers like yellows are supposed to. I am now pretty sure he is a black bullhead, is he?

i have a friend with a brown and it has a very different type of pattern, same with the browns i always catch

Agreed. It doesn't look like a yellow, or a black to me.

either way, you have to know it is not a black...that pretty much narrows down your question then. Brown was IMO only
