Is this a Black Bullhead or a yellow?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The body shape (and especially the head shape) makes me more inclined to believe that it is a brown bullhead, as opposed to a black, but w/e...

i say yellow..but it is very possible to be a brown..

I am almost certain it is a black. I have kept all three species and it looks almost identical to black bullheads. Browns almost always have some sort of pattern, blacks usually don't. Yellows always have the white lower whiskers, others do not. And just from the general look of it compared to browns, I say black.

Well you never know that its brown since not ALL browns have color patterns. But both you and me know that it is not a yellow.

im positive its not a brown
But others beg to differ. :D
I'll give a Knife fish example! Just because a Clown Knife doesn't have spots, doesn't mean that it's a different species. ;)

Not all brown bullheads are blotched.

I'm still sticking with a Brown based on the body shape as well.
Here is a good pic of the two...
