Recently i just lost my 3" MM pups due to death curl, it was eating fine last week then 3 days ago it's disk starts to curl due to no reason, water parameters are fine, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 35, and Ph 7.5. I never feed them with live feeders, only frozen prawn, small cut fish, frozen bloodworms.
Tankmates are 2x 3" silver dollar, 1 pair of 3" leoxhenlei pups, 1 4" scobina. Tank size 6ft x 3.5ft x 2ft.

Now I'm facing the same problem with my 3" pearl pups. I've been doing 30% waterchange everyday 2 days with Prime + salt added, rise the temp to 30degrees, no medication added. Can any expert help me? I dont want to lose another one.. sighh

Thanks

Pictures have been attached. :( :(

I just offered them a frozen bloodworm, and it was eating like normal. But when it was resting, the disk are curling, it has never been doing this kind of symptom before. Is this normal?

if the ray is eating then it is normal, just keep an eye on water. As for death curve, it doesn't look like it in the picture. Remember to feed it many times a day and just focus on feeding ray only and other will just eat what left over of the ray.

Could be the under current. Turn off the pumps for 5 mins and see if it persist.

I just turn off all the pumps for 5 mins and it seems it is still curling. Just now i offered them a frozen BW they accept it. Should i feed or stop feeding them? or maybe wait and keep doing waterchange?

Thanks

I would keep a good eye on the ray good that he is still eating though, but I think the nitrate levels are a little high but u can fix that with water changes, normally rays are ok with anything under 40ppm from what I have read but anything above 40ppm and up to 80ppm is concidered toxic, but this is just what I have read up on my nitrate level is normally kept in between 5ppm to 12.5ppm
