Is This a Fair Trade or Is Someone Getting the Shaft???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the only prices i could come up with are hundreds of dollars in aus. and solomon had one for sale on aquatic pred. 6-7" for $55. personally i would say you are getting the short end of the stick balton, BUT i have been known to spend a little more than something is worth because of the ease of access. not having to ship it plays a part, lack of availability if you pass it up. do you see IT's in your lfs often? i think financially you will take a hit on the deal, but seems logically worth it if you want a RTGG, you do still have 2 other IT's after all.

If you want it, get it. Who cares what they are worth in dollars, what is each one worth to you?

Order one from our online vendors and grow it out yourself. I'm sure one of them is bound to have one around....after all this is YOUR decision not ours.

Ok, I have until next week because he's going out of town. I'll search around but shipping is usually high and I'm kind of broke right now.

The growth rate of a RTGG is faster than a dats. Its gonna take longer to get a dat to your fishes size than a RTGG to its size from juvies. Personally I wouldnt do it, but its ultimately up to you, not us. Do what ya gotta do ;)

Thanks yall. I'll have to think about it now....probably won't trade.

just so's ya know's, the dat is worth much more than the rtgg, and rtgg's tend to be some pretty mean bastards. me and a buddy both have had very sporadic and horrible luck keeping them with tankmates. some tankmates they will ignore, while others they will completely annihilate. its usually the fish you really like too for some damn reason.

Those IT's, with the base color as it is and the solid black bars would be worth considerably more to alot of Tiger fans than a regular Indo of similar size. Are the bars symmetrical on both sides? If so they are probably the Sumatran variant of D. Microlepis, or as the japanese call them "real band". They fetch a bit more than the traditional 4 barred indo. Personally, i would not let them go for an RTGG.
