Is this a female or male OB?

Hey just wondering if this new peacock I got is a male of female. I’m on edge about both options, the fin looks rounded so I’d say female but it’s also been aggressive towards my alpha male. Let me know!

Based on looks, I'd say it's a female. My OB has a similar anal fin.

As for the aggression is this a new fish to the tank?

Most likely a female, but I've had OB females color up like younge males and males look pretty bland until they decide to take charge of the tank.

Look up a video on venting African cichlids, check some of your known females vs the OB and you'll be able to make a better guess. It's pretty useful skill to have when owning cichlids and sort of an art but more practice makes better guesses.
