Is this a good setup for a Midevil?

Added a few ferns and some more floating plants over the weekend. He is almost fully settled now. Most of the time he is roaming around up and down, side to side, back to front. Still skits off when my 8yr old daughter decides to run by the tank to her room.

Showed her how the fish is getting scared because of that, now she walks by [mostly]

Got water lettuce, red roots and frogbits. Waiting for them to spread and drop their roots.

Lost 7 emperor tetras and 2 red phantoms.

So my tank looks like a minefield now. Happily picks and spits the gravel.

Easily comes to the top of the tank and takes in floating pellets. Oh and on the tetra count, almost 22 emperor tetras out for the count. For now the red fin tetras are safe [all 10 of them]. Guess it's a matter of time...

Really wish he would let a pleco live. My driftwood has started to get covered in brown algae. My royals used to keep the wood cleeeean! :)
