Is this a Green Terror?? I don't think so...

For some reason, Green Terrors in my rural area of southeast Michigan are hard to come by. I went to a local "cichlid specialty" store, where they said they had 2 GT's in stock...and this is what they gave me

They had it written on the tank, and I even had the guy reaffirm that it WAS a GT as he was pulling him out. I'm pretty sure this is not a GT, and they actually had no idea what they were talking about.

cant tell for sure what it is but its definately not a Green Terror (a.k.a. Gold Saum). the fish on my avatar is a good example of a GT

They are tilapia buttikoferi, not GTs.

What other fish do you have in the tank. Tilapia can be very aggressive.

tilapia? I don't think so, I don't remember the name but I think they only get around 4-5 inches!

No Tilapia can get over 10inches.

Depends on the tilapia species. Like others said, this is a buttikoferi and will end up around 10-12"
