hey guys thanks for all the responses.....i forgot all about this thread. but since i am back i will ask another question. are these evil fish? lol...he seems to push around my 2 new oscars ever since i put them in the tank ( about 3 hours ago ).....the dude at the LFS said they'd get along great.

and btw....my batteries are charging, i'll take new pics in an hour or so
 
JDs can be pretty mean, certainly capable of bullying oscars... If the tank they're kept in is 125g or bigger though, I think they will get along well enough...

well i was keeping him in my 29 gallon, he's only 3 inches.....along with my tiger oscar who is also 3 inches, and they got along fine. today i picked up 2 albino oscars for free (adopted) and put them in there temporarily, until next weekend when i can get a heater for my 70 gallon, which i'll put them in there.
 
nm, should have looked at the last pics first. maybe a texan, thats what mine looks like and the lfs said they were, but maybe not. is it?
 
that's a male JD, no acara about it. Your tank upgrade plan sounds promising, assuming you intend to follow up the 70g with a 125g or bigger.
