Just found this guy in my canister filter a few minutes ago, and I'm curious as to what it is. It looks like a leach to me, but I thought I'd ask in case someone knows better than I do... Any ideas?

Looks like a leach. Or some kind of parasite.

I'm thinking it's a leach as well... at least I only found one. The only place that I can think it may have come from is from a p. palmas palmas that I bough a few months ago... that's the latest addition to my tank.

I'm loathe to treat the tank until I have a better idea of what it is. If it's a leach, they're normally visible on the outside of the fish... which as far as I can see, non of my fish have. Also, non of my fish are acting abnormally.

do you feed black worms if so i could be on cause i have seen them get big

I never feed black worms, or anything live. Aside from pellets, I feed:

market shrimp
silversides
tilapia filets (from frozen)
blood worms

Btw, here's my stocklist; ~9" p. senegalus, ~9" p. palmas palmas, ~5" clown loach, ~4" gourami, ~4" yellow lab. All in a 55g.

thast crazy, i wounder where he came from
