Is this a wild RTC x TSN?

yeah i agree with this somewhat. RTCs are my all time favorite fish. nothing compares to them. Mine is 9 inch (this week haha) and hes the boss of the tank. but i dont really care for the TSNs but the hybrid has some awsome coloration and is a nice solid cat like the RTC. But yeah its not better than a pure RTC.

on the part of the hybrid occurring naturally i believe they do. but for the most part what we see in the aquarium trade is man made.

to say it cant happen naturally in the wild is crap there are so many animals that cross breed ion the wild why couldnt these guys do it. EX. Polar bear x Grizzly, Lion x Tiger
 
I'm not a big fan of the hybrid personally, I think both RTCs and TSNs are better looking than the cross. That guy with the "Juggernaut" hybrid in the catfish media lounge has the nicest one I've ever seen.
 
yeah that one is awsome. the one that necrocanis has is sick though. his is probably my favorite hybrid

A pure blood RTC for me is one of the best looking cats on the planet and by mixing it with a TSN I can see how you can make a class fish like a RTC better than it is

Surely the point in making a hybrid is to make it look better than the pure forum

Now a RTC x tig yes I can see the point in that I would never buy a hybrid cat but I could see why people would want a RTC x tig as that would look great but a RTC x TSN doesn't look like anything I would say wow I want one

It really does all come down to personal opinion, "Personal" being the key word. I personally do not find the RTC all that attractive of a cat, however the TSN I find to be an amazing fish. Given a choice I would choose a hybrid over a pure RTC any day. But thats just my preference. Doesn't mean you have to agree nor am I going to try and force my opinion on you. Some people Like Guppies, some like Live planted tanks, others like Monster Fish. To each their own.
 
In the RTC x TSN hybrid it has far more TSN genes so you have to like the TSN to like this hybrid

I find the TSN a fairly boring looking fish which they have tryed to make look better by mixing with a RTC

I can't see how you can make a RTC better by mixing it with anything it's just so nice as it is
 
I think many are missing the point of hybrids here. The idea is to mix the best features of different fish in one specimen. Im not a catfish keeper, but I know that an rtc doesnt have those beautiful tiger stripes, so it makes sense to try to breed them with a tsn to get those stripes.

Then theres the attitude of anti-hybrid people that they are curators and protectors of the sanctity of nature, which I find ignorant. Nature knows what she is doing, if she made fish who can crossbreed then how can we say its wrong?

HE is stating in HIS Opinion ( which he is allowed just as you are )they are , Just as you say you are allowed YOUR Opinion that the RTC X Hybrid is junk

I Totally agree RTC's are GREAT fish , ITs a shame that more people can't keep them and see how Great they truely are.

A TSN is not a great looking cat and doesn't even come close to having the class of a RTC
This again is YOUR Opinion , I happen to Love they way TSN look and I know there are many that agree with me . In All honesty I prefer a TSN Over a TIG anyday ... But that is MY opinion ...

I seen something can't remember exactley what it was that talked about why the RTC X TSN was created, they said they did it to make a better Food fish actually , they was saying that a true RTC had dark flesh and was really oily and by crossing the TSN with it not only did it lighten the flesh but it got rid of the oily texture of the meat itself .


I just can't see what's to like about this hybrid over a pure RTC please tell me

I LOVE pure RTC's and I LOVE the RTC x TSN Hybrid they are both great fish , No matter what you say about one can be said for the other ... It all Depends on each person's own preference , Taste, OPINION!
Think of it like this if your at a resteraunt and you look at the person sitting across from you and he/she is eating something that you find Totally revolting and they are obviously Enjoying their meal would you ask them WHY they enjoy that meal so much ? its just like keeping fish in general each person has their own taste/preference in the kind of fish that they keep ...That is what makes each person their own

I really ain't trying to sound harsh or anything I was just explaining that everyone is different , with our own taste in food,clothes,music ext. and that is what makes the world we live in so great! If we was all the same wouldn't Life get kind of boring ?
 
i agree to the above, couldnt have been put better, fighting over which is better is pointless its personal opinion here.
