pothos vines and a canister would simplify the whole thing easy.

a single 14.95 walmart pothos vine with a eheim 2217 keaps my 120 with 2 large catfish happy as can be.

sorry to derail a bit,but how did you add the pothos vine-to the canister? or...how is configured

you add them to the top of the tank in the top with a hanging pot of some type or a suck-shun cup container in the tank only the root need to be submerged. if you check some of the vids in my sig you will see

I have 2 110 gallon hang on backs from aquaclear. I have a 180 gallon tank. Both of them together they hsould be good for up to a 220 right ? I have a frontosa, jag and ID shark. All around a foot.

Lets put it this way... I'm running the two AC110s that you have, PLUS an eheim pro ii 2026 AND an Aquatop CF400 canister on my 55 gallon. In a word, yes. More filtration :)

Weird... I do 75% water changes on all my tanks. No fish losses. +1 on more filtration.

Doesn't matter, no sub for wc!

U could be well o/s for all we know, proper circulation and wc are top priority, extra filtration is just extra bonus imo ;)

+ aquatop can is useless!

Before you jump down my throat you should ask what my stock is and how many WCs I do...

Stock is a 7" oscar, a lap, and a 4" orange pleco.

60% weekly WCs

the Aquatop canister has worked beautifully btw.
