Is this over stocked?

Yeah didn't you know you need 3 fx5's per fish?

Im serious. By these standards you could only keep 2 oscars and 2 plecos in a 180. My 225 has 3 big cichlids and 2 large plecos, and I dont think that is anywhere near stocked, so saying it is over stocked is a joke. Personally the only issue I see is the jag's aggression. But that is even hit or miss. Keep up waterchanges and watch out for aggression and high nitrates...

wow thanks so much guys! Seriously its just sometimes i read some stuff on this site and i doubt what i am doing, but luckily you guys keep me sane lol

Let your fish tell you if its over stocked. keep an eye on your nitrate, nitrites and ammonia, if the latter two stay zero and your water changes keep nitrates low then you fish will be your indicator. If they are not being aggressive toward eachother and they have safe places in the tank arent showing signs of stress, then leave it alone. Dont add anything else, but if that jag is a male and gets larger, thats when you may have to worry. I'd also pay attention to your hop, if its aggressive it could be a problem too

awesome advise. I would keep nitrates below 40ppm.
