yea i had a bad experience with dwarf gouramis lol i had like 3 males in my 20 gallon and that was before i knew they were so territorial i just got them thinking they'll be fine and all three of them ending up being males alot of damange was done but i returned the other 2 to my lfs
Males are very obnoxious especially when they "defend" their chosen territory. I placed one in my pond and he kept attacking me whenever I lift the plants to check my other fish.

i would say their is no such thing as over stocked as long as the fish in the tank have space to turn and swim freely and you have good water/filtration

then its not over stocked

put a eheim pro3 on the tank and you could add more fish :D

:eek:That thing is expensive! lol i'll buy it if i had something over 100 gallons not a little 20 gallon though and i agree with you my main concern is keeping the water safe...well now i know what fishies i want :) and im glad but more or less do you guys think the 30% water changes will keep the water safe with the gourami 2 blue rams bristlenose and a school of cardinals? im going to be testing the water when i add the fish to make sure but thats when i go get them might be a week or two from now what you guys think will i be good? Are we bingo bango ready to go go?

For a 20g long, he could have more than 8 neons. I prefer cardinals, much hardier compared to neons nowadays. They may be expensive but they're totally worth it.

na im not trying to overstock it the whole reason i started this thread is to avoid that...lupin i see you know alot about snails! are there any i can put in my tank? i would have to know how to care for them though i dont know anything about them not even how they feed lol but i like learning though and when i find interest in something i do so much research about it and ask alot of questions (like i did and still doing with fish keeping) so if i like what you tell me i might go snail crazy also:nilly:
